Blandy Garden Fair
Held in May, in conjunction with the Virginia State Arboretum’s annual garden fair,
this is the oldest continually attended craft fair for the Guild.
It is a 3 day event, in the beautiful setting of the State Arboretum,
which is attended by thousands each year.
Pottery for sale is restricted to forms designed for garden or plant use;
such as planters, flower pots, vases, bird houses, wind chimes, fruit bowls and serving dishes.
Along with various demonstrations, exhibits and musical entertainment presented by the Arboretum, this is a family friendly craft and garden sale, with over 100 garden related exhibitors, which has a well earned reputation for excellence.

Empty Bowl Supper
The Empty Bowl Supper is an annual event sponsored by the Shenandoah Potters Guild to benefit the Shelter for Abused Women in Winchester.
Guild members donate over 300 individually handcrafted, decorated and glazed bowls of various sizes and designs.
Ticket purchasers select a bowl of their choice, enjoy a delicious soup oriented dinner using that bowl, and keep the bowl as a reminder of the event.

The Empty Bowl Supper has proven to be a successful fund raiser for the Shelter for Abused Women, as well as a rewarding community project for Guild members.
