The Shenandoah Potters Guild does many events each year.

Garden shows, Arts and Crafts Fairs, Local Artist Exhibitions and charitable events.

We also have pottery related workshops, some of which are open to the public.

April 2008
Spring Art Fair The Barns of Rose Hill will be sponsoring an Arts Festival to benefit the Barns Of Rose Hill Organization
This will be held in Berryville, VA on April 19th, 10am - 4pm.
994 Crums Church Road, Berryville, VA 22611.
Directions from Winchester: Go Rt. 7 East toward Berryville, turn left at Crums Church Road (632), go one mile and turn right onto our driveway. A white sign "Fortune Island Pottery" is posted.
There will be someone standing about halfway to the house to lead to the parking area.

There will be lots of great new pottery and other art available.
Please come out to support the Barns of Rose Hill project!

Old Town Fine Wine and Arts Festival-
This new festival will take place all along the Loudon St. Pedestrian Mall, in Downtown Winchester VA
Friday April 25th, 2-8pm
Saturday April 26th, 11am -6pm
This is the weekend BEFORE Apple Blossom
Local artisans, restraunts, and 12 wineries will be on site to offer the finest of the Shenandoah Valley.
Wine tastings end 1 hour before close of day.
Admission is FREE ($15 at gate for keepsake glass and winetasting tickets)

Blandy Garden Fair
May 9th 4:30pm - May 10th & 11th 9:00am - 4:30pm
Held in conjunction with the Virginia State Arboretum’s annual garden fair,
this is the oldest continually attended craft fair for the Guild.
It is a 3 day event, in the beautiful setting of the State Arboretum,
which is attended by thousands each year.
Pottery for sale is restricted to forms designed for garden or plant use;
such as planters, flower pots, vases, bird houses, wind chimes, fruit bowls and serving dishes.
Along with various demonstrations, exhibits and musical entertainment presented by the Arboretum, this is a family friendly craft and garden sale, with over 100 garden related exhibitors, which has a well earned reputation for excellence.

Strasburg Mayfest
Look for us at Mayfest again in May 2008, with yet another commemorative Strasburg pot!
Pots go on sale at 9am sharp!
Come early and be the first in line for the 1st and 50th Strasburg pot auction, proceeds benefitting the Strasburg Museum.

June 7th 2008
The Northern Shenandoah Valley Master Gardeners Association
Will be holding it's annual gardenfest at Belle Grove Plantation, Rt 11, Middletown VA
Saturday June 7th, 9am-4pm
The gardenfest will be held in the historic gardens of Belle Grove, and will offer local potters, garden supplies, flowering plants, demonstrations of gardening techniques, and advice lectures.
Come down to Belle Grove for a quiet afternoon in the gardens.
Potters will be presenting planters, vases, bird houses/feeders and a miriad of other handcrafted items for sale.

Empty Bowl Supper
The Empty Bowl Supper is an annual event sponsored by the Shenandoah Potters Guild to benefit the Shelter for Abused Women in Winchester. Guild members donate over 300 individually handcrafted, decorated and glazed bowls of various sizes and designs. Ticket purchasers select a bowl of their choice, enjoy a delicious soup oriented dinner using that bowl, and keep the bowl as a reminder of the event.

The Empty Bowl Supper has proven to be a successful fund raiser for the Shelter for Abused Women, as well as a rewarding community project for Guild members.

November 29 2008
The Shenandoah Potters Guild Annual Holiday Show! 10:00AM to 4:00PM - Saturday, November 29 2008 (the Saturday after Thanksgiving)
Our annual sale gets larger each year! Stop in early and give yourselves plenty of time to browse, and meet the artists.
Last year we had 16 potters in attendance, and we are expecting an enormous turnout this year.
Refreshments will be served.
