Bill Melson is emeritus geologist at the Smithsonian’s Museum of Natural History,
where among other things he has studied archaeological ceramics from the US Southwest and the Middle East.
His art interests includes ceramic arts (mainly wheel thrown pottery), oil, water color and ink works, and jewelry.
